"RED" LEAD52nd Combat Aviation Battalion, located at Camp Holloway, Pleiku, RVN, 28 April 1967-11 Sep 1967. Captain Ford also served as the 170th Operations Officer, 11 Sep-17 to Dec 1967, and 170th Executive Officer, 17 Dec-17 to Mar 1968. Captain Ford returned to RVN in Nov 1970, as a Major and he commanded an Air Cav Troop (Troop "B", 3rd Sqdn, 17th Air Cav). He retired as a LTC in August 1981, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
